Sakana

Sakana — or just “the fish car” — went to the playa in 2007 and was the most successful of my art cars from an artistic perspective.

It was built from an old Geo Prizm, with linen sails stretched over bamboo that was grown in my father’s backyard. We brought it out two years, and a picture of it was featured on the cover of an art textbook on American puppetry.
