Well after a marathon day of moving stuff over. I'm on the new host - Dreamhost, and I've linked this blog up to my facebook page. . . Will that inspire me to write more? no. But at least now all my non-communications are linked. :P

Installed Theme and now I hopefully won't be embarased to write

Yawn happy new year.

So my grand plans for working on my own site are in perpetual fail. So instead of waiting for a theme to be created for me, and to for me to cod it I've just installed something that looks reasonably good, and am just going to live with it.

hopefully, now that the site doesn't look all generic I'll be more likely to post more entries here.

If you guys still out there reading this are interested, I post a lot more twitter than I do on here: twitter.com/mirzu

maybe I'll just aggregate that into here while I'm at it.

this is a quick test.

Drupal Upgrade 4.5 > 4.7 > 5.7 > 6.2

Well I finally did the upgrade to the current version of Drupal. I have to say I like the new features already.

For those attempting the upgrade in Debian, it went pretty smoothly. Honestly the hardest part was the transition between 4.5 > 4.7 using Debian packages. After that it was a simple matter of installing the new package pointing apache to the new files and pointing drupal to the old database and running the upgrade.php script. No loss of data, no real problems. Done. Moving on.

Oh so pretty.

Well it's been a long time coming but I finally got around to change he look of the site. It's pretty much just the "Bonsai Theme" from Drupal which was created by After Death Graphics, which is in turn was inspired by BinaryBonsai.com.
