Weekend in Avalon

Had a wonderful weekend in Catalina. Long days spent snorkeling and kayaking, and long nights playing poker with the family. All in all it was very relaxing and fun. I probably could have lost some weight if it wasn't for the huge dinners I had every night.

life is good

It's been a long time since I posted.

Job is great, I can say enough good things about this company. The people, the environment, the endless candy everything just jells. I think it will be hard for me to find a company that compares.

Marriage is starting out smashingly. We work really hard to make our life as fun and effortless as possible. Complement each other, and push each other in just the right ways. I'm impressed at how much the wedding changed my outlook on life and on myself. Suddenly I have a life ahead of me, and I'm looking much farther forward to make sure it stays really cool. Big Goals!

New Job

I just got a new job. Start on the 27th of November. This is a great move for me, and I'm really looking forward to it. I'll keep the company name off here, so Google doesn't link us together, but I'm going to be selling t1 and VOIP with a small but growing ISP in downtown LA. w00t!

1. I've become very OCD about the strangest things lately, and have enjoyed every minute of it.

2. I almost NEVER clean out my car, or wash it, but I get it serviced on the day the odo says its time.

3. I'm going camping this Halloween weekend because the last few weren't that great, and I don't feel like dressing up this year.

4. I love watching blooper and America's funniest home video style stuff. People falling down is funny.

5. My teeth are crooked as a direct result of dressing like Buster Keaton and going to a skinhead show.

6. I missed seeing one of Sublime's last shows, because I didn't feel like going out. I'm still pissed about that.

I can chew!

Well I got my stitches out, and I ate real food again. Me and Lauren get sauced to celebrate, eh more like Lauren had a few drinks with me as I got sauced to celebrate.

Oh and one good thing that came from all this time in bed. I got bored and did my taxes. Should have my return early next month.

You really forget how much your quality of life is affected by eating real food, until you can't. All the more reason to take good care of your teeth. On the other hand, being able to do that weird clicky thing with dentures really does have it's own appeal. . .

Belated Weekend Update

I ran a marathon (length) on Saturday. A twenty mile training run in the morning, and then ran the Nike® Run Hit Wonder 10K. I really didn't think I would make it, and was cursing G all day between the two, but once I got out there I had a great time. Ran my best 10K time ever: 1:08:54.

Which really isn't saying that much, since my only other 10k was the first race I ever did and the first time I ever ran over 3 miles, but it shows how far I've come and gave me a lot of confidence for the Marathon. Which is coming up very soon.
