updatorama
Last week was very weird, and I'm really glad it's over. Really glad. I love my mother, and Ida, my half sister on that side, but I can't really say we get along. It was stressful, to say the least.
Work is crazy, getting ready for NAB. I'm really looking forward to it this year.
More than anything I'm looking forward to really starting on stuff for burning man. I can't wait to start building.
Oh yeah and Faire starts in a few weeks. That should be fun too.

Exciting Spring
Well it looks like the spring is really shaping up to be a great deal of fun. Very busy, but a great deal of fun.
First of all we are working hard on the new faire site which looks great. Some pictures are here. The new site is really pretty and I'm really looking forward to the fact that the drive was cut in half.
Looks like I'll finally be going to steer roast. Which I wasn't letting myself get excited about, until I found out that I'm really going to get the chance to go.

US Number 1?
Here are some really scary statistics about the state of the US economy, as compared to the rest of the world. What exactly are we a world leader in?
Google is really fickle
One of the reasons I started this site was to take back my name from greg. He always came up first for searches regarding my name, due to a very well formed, and annotated, pictures page he has of me. To reclaim my name and online presence I created this blog and linked all my public online activities to it. With some tweaking of the code, and the things it said I was able to very quickly reclaim my rightful spot at the number one result when you search for "Michal Minecki." However I didn't realize how fickle googl could be until I switched servers.

on the road to mammoth
No really I'm writing this on the road to mammoth, sitting in the front seat of Scribe's 4x4, over a treo and a powerbook.
We even got internet radio to stream, and I sshed to this box.
Just had to share. The signal is amazingly stable, but at little slow. . .
PING google.com (216.239.57.99): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 216.239.57.99: icmp_seq=0 ttl=230 time=1519.22 ms

1 packets transmitted, 1 packets received, 0% packet loss
Cheers.

Super Quick
Site looks different cause I moved to a new server and a new version of Drupal. Life is good. I'm going boarding again this weekend. Been very busy at work lately, and working on the new server, hence the lack of posts.
That, and there was the small, damn good video game that I couldn't put down, disruption.
Luckily it was only a rental.
Wish me snow and no broken bones. I'll start writing regularly soon, promise.

I'm a media whore.
So as one of my friends is proclaiming the virtues of volunteering for a radio station. I'll tell you about the great show I heard on Indie 103.1, Clear Channels attempt at trying to reach the people that hate commercial radio. That quite frankly is really working. . .
