Lent

So last night had some fun to celebrate fat Tuesday, and today starts 40 days without a drop of booze. That's right folks I'm going to stop drinking all together.

Shouldn't be a big deal, since we don't really drink, but it's something that we enjoy, and the sacrifice will be good for us or something.

Also I'm not going to guarentee it, but I want to do 40 drawing in 40 days, but that may not be possible. . . we'll see, considering the million different things I have going on right now.

World of Warcraft Players Athletes?

Maybe or maybe not. . . but an article about a new dungeon is in the Sports section of the New York Times. What's next? The results of the latest Quake Tournament on the front page? Madness I tell you madness.

Oh so pretty.

Well it's been a long time coming but I finally got around to change he look of the site. It's pretty much just the "Bonsai Theme" from Drupal which was created by After Death Graphics, which is in turn was inspired by BinaryBonsai.com.

I can chew!

Well I got my stitches out, and I ate real food again. Me and Lauren get sauced to celebrate, eh more like Lauren had a few drinks with me as I got sauced to celebrate.

Oh and one good thing that came from all this time in bed. I got bored and did my taxes. Should have my return early next month.

You really forget how much your quality of life is affected by eating real food, until you can't. All the more reason to take good care of your teeth. On the other hand, being able to do that weird clicky thing with dentures really does have it's own appeal. . .

six teeth less.

Got six teeth taken out. The surgery wasn't bad at all. Sat down and got poked with a needle and woke up when they were finishing up. Which was a little strange, but they said it was normal. Didn't feel a thing.

On they way home the pain slowly crept in, until it was pretty fucking bad. By the time we were home, after stopping at the pharmacy I thought I was going to die. Took the Vicodin and finally after a couple of hours had relative peace again.

The rest of the day was pretty comfortable, but today I feel fine. Oh, cept of course for the swelling and bleeding on the left side, and the fact that anytime I get off the couch my right nostril starts to bleed. Joy.

Back on the Wagon

Or rather on the treadmill. Stopped drinking, quit caffeine and started working out. After the marathon I didn't have any motivation, but now it's time, even if I still don't have any motivation.

Wedding Date Set

Well it's set. I will be a married man on December 9th 2006.

A little nervous, but very excited. I can't believe how long I need to wait. . .

One of resolutions this year was to write here more often. Since the fundraiser and the marathon I've been in a kind of hibernation. Lots has happened but I would say that most of the time I was just floating through it. Letting life wash over me. I feel I need to get back in the drivers seat.

That and to spend less money, and exercise again.

Grandma passed away

It was very sudden. On my fathers side. I'm still kinda in shock. I'm sure I'll write more soon. Shit.

26.2 miles is far, but I ran it.

Well there you have it. I ran a marathon. I don't know if it was the hardest thing I've ever done, but it's definitely close. This whole year has been a year of follow through, proving that I can do it, to the world to my legs to burning man, and to the world.

Really interesting Speach by Gore

This speech by Al Gore is really worth a read.

He verbalizes very eloquently many of the problems that are plaguing this country, relating to the media and government.
