Well there you have it. I ran a marathon. I don't know if it was the hardest thing I've ever done, but it's definitely close. This whole year has been a year of follow through, proving that I can do it, to the world to my legs to burning man, and to the world.
What really gets me about the whole experience is that as I'm sitting here, with my legs still very sore. Some petty painful tendon injuries. I can't help but think about the next adventure. Maybe I'll run the LA marathon, maybe I'll do a Century ride (100 miles), a triathalon, or maybe I'll just finally get my finances in order and embark on the great adventure of buying a house in southern California. What every it is I'm confident I can do it, if I just keep pushing out the wall.
A big part of this adveture has been raising money for HDSA. Since June 15th I have been able to collect $2,275.40, and I have quite a few people who have pledged, so with a little more help reaching my goal of 2620 is in sight. I'm thuroughly amazed at the generosity of everyone who gave, and how much we were able to collect. One group deserves special mention, and that is the amazing crew at Freewinners.com. You guys made me proud to wear your jersey.
