Last year after the man burned I set a goal

I was so impressed with the art I saw there, and so inspired to create something really impressive. I told myself that if I worked really hard, and got back on the creative kick, one year I'd finally do it. I'd finally create something that made it up on the gallery on the official Burning Man site. It was in the top three when I started my list of 43 things. I'd day dream about all it all the time.

George took me seriously, he shared the fire I could see it in his eyes, but I didn't really let myself hope. Even when I finally saw this project coming together, after being so gun shy about making stuff, or making art, these last few years, I thought there might be a chance, but I didn't let myself hope. Didn't really accept the possibilty.

It feels real good to reach your goals, even if they involve making a giant fish for an arts festevil in the middle of the Nevada desert.
